IIRC, the Panthers don’t do very well on side impacts. They are of course very dated safety- wise, but obsolete design is somewhat offset by being long enough front and back that there’s a lot of room to absorb impacts before hitting the cabin.

How close are you to Detroit? Front fenders are rusty at the top of the wheel well. No ac and 190000 miles runs ok but has a shimmy at speed.

Hmmm really tempting. Im 290 odd miles. Not bad. What kind of speeds we talking. Where the shimmy coming from. Also is it rusted through  at the top fender or just rusting along the edge?

Its thru on the fender. 60 to 80 on the shimmy. Possibly front right. I don't think it's a wheel bearing cause it doesn't pull. Out of balance wheel ? I've got cheap snow tires on it all the way around so that's a possibility. I'll take some more pics if you want. That's from last summer and this winter did a number on it.
